About us

How it all began. From vision to reality.

Three friends. A campfire.
One idea.

Holger Schernewski, Jörg Bürmann, and Felix Wegeler – friends since their school days for over 20 years. The vision was born around a campfire: a treehouse park. Not just any park, but one in the heart of nature, designed exactly to our ideas.

The search for a plot? Challenging. Until a stroke of luck: Olaf Nützsche from the Bad Salzdetfurth Bikepark showed us the former “Schacht 2” mine site—40,000 square meters, steeped in history, and for sale. A handshake on the first day. The purchase agreement shortly thereafter.

None of us had ever built a treehouse resort before. Despite that, the city of Bad Salzdetfurth supported us: bureaucracy, neighbors, the zoning plan. Many weekends spent by the campfire on the grounds. Planning, discussing, discarding. The place became a project close to our hearts.

Then we found Andreas Wenning (baumraum.de)—internationally renowned for extraordinary treehouse projects. Almost every project we liked turned out to be his. He agreed to join us. Together, we developed floor plans, chose locations, and found local construction companies. Since there were no suitable trees available, we built platforms on stilts. The feeling of being among the treetops remained.

With our own hands.

Holger and Jörg behind the controls of the excavator and wheel loader – the “ultimate playground.” Today, four houses stand here. But finished? Never. New ideas come to us constantly. The resort is meant to grow, without ever losing sight of nature.

The grounds remain close to nature. No manicured lawns. Swallows keep us mosquito-free, rabbits hop by in the morning, and occasionally a fox stops by. A pair of ravens lives on the roof. In the distance: wild boars. And when the deer come to graze at dawn, everything simply stands still.

Even time.
